A brief on the World Desertification and Drought Day 2021 – NGARA
To commemorate the World Desertification and Drought Day 2021, the Africa Union Commission (AUC), in collaboration with Partners organized a virtual forum that was held on the 17th and 18th June 2021. The objective of the forum was to bring together key implementing Partners from the Civil Service Organizations (CSOs) involved in land restoration and combating desertification in order to raise awareness on their activities.
NGARA is happy to have been involved in the entire process both at the planning stage as well as during the forum as one of the key CSOs where it made a presentation on the theme “Building Resilience of Women and Communities to the impacts of Land Degradation and Desertification” with a focus on “Building value chains to combat desertification”.
